Ribbonwork Workshop

Lead by Myaamia citizen and artist Scott Shoemaker. Participants will learn about peepankišaapiikahkia eehkwaatamenki, and make ribbonwork hat bands. Special Exhibit - St. Clair's Defeat Revisited: A New View of the Conflict

NEO - The Charles Banks Wilson Art and Cultural Center inside KahNe Hall - 200 I St. NE, Miami, OK

Exhibit viewing on your own beginning at 9 AM, exhibit doors close at 5 PM, Miami Tribe Community Reception at 5:30 PM Location: Calcagno Family Ballroom, Bruce G. Carter Student Union (a brief walk from KahNe Hall)

Tribal citizens and their families are invited to visit this special exhibit curated by Ball State University with Inter-Tribal Humanities Scholars. This engaging, traveling exhibit introduces viewers to the complex history of St. Clair’s Defeat. We will meet in the Calcagno Family Ballroom on the campus of NEO A&M College at 5:30 PM for presentations and a short film followed by a light meal.

Myaamia Family Day (Games and Dancing)

Begins at 10:30 AM and lasts all day through the evening

Drake House - 3700 S. 505 Road, Miami, OK

Events include archery, lacrosse, and tomahawk throw. There are events scheduled for adults and children. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Bring lawn chairs, hats, sunscreen, and bug spray. Please see events flyer for more information.

Cultural Education Day

Breakfast at the Myaamia Community Center followed by the community lacrosse game on the game field behind the Cultural Resources Center. If you have your own pakitahaakani/Myaamia lacrosse stick please bring it, if not we will have sticks on hand (only traditional sticks will be used for the game). Lunch will be served after the game in the new Prairie Sun Event Center located across from Tribal Headquarters. After lunch, we will have cultural presentations, and hand out t-shirts to those present.

8:30 AM - Breakfast at Myaamia Community Center/Dining Hall - 54535 East 65 Road, Miami, OK

10:30 AM - Community Lacrosse Game on the Myaamia game field (please park in parking lot spaces). Pakitahaakani/traditional lacrosse sticks will be provided, or bring your own. - 54505 East 65 Road, Miami, OK

Annual Myaamia General Council Meeting

9: 00 AM - Annual Meeting of the General Council begins promptly at 9 AM in the Council House Miami citizens enter through the doors on the east side of the building for registration.
