The goal of the Human Resources Office is to ensure a respectful, positive, productive work environment for all tribal employees.  The office strives to instill in each new employee the Tribe's values of honor and respect, especially to the tribal members we serve.

The department manages a comprehensive human resources program, including employee recruitment and retention; new employee orientation; benefits and compensation administration; employee relations; maintenance and security of personnel records, performance evaluation programs and the employee grievance process.

Per Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Personnel Policy, employment and income verifications are only answered in writing after all required release documents are received.  Request forms can be faxed to (918) 513-6318 or sent via email to cgibson@miamination.com.

Indian Preference

Preference in filling positions will be given to qualified Indian applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 and the Miami Tribe Indian Preference Policy.

SORNA

The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma complies with reporting requirements as defined by the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), Title I of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (PL 109-248).  Any convicted sex offender living or working within the jurisdiction of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma shall be required to comply with sex offender registration in compliance with the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Sex Offender Registration Code.
