The Myaamia Activity Center (MAC) is a comfortable place for elders to relax, exercise, surf the web, or rejuvenate in the salon. It has exercise equipment, a massage table, computers with Internet access and a library.
The Activity Center is staffed by Trudy Pendergraft. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting, like an extended family room or den, in one's home, complete with a kitchen table to visit and a cup of coffee. The library is full of unique titles that can be difficult to find, particularly those relating to tribal culture. Assistance with genealogy research is also available.
In addition to the quilting class, there are plans to offer workshops for beading, shawl making and crocheting. Check the Events page for more details about activities and classes.
The Activity Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. There is no cost to use the facilities.
